The public is invited to Voices of Freedom 2019, Ithaca City of Asylum’s annual celebration of free expression. The event will feature a presentation by new ICOA artist-in-residence Pedro X. Molina, an internationally acclaimed political cartoonist who fled Nicaragua with his family during a violent crackdown on dissent last December. A party will follow. The free event is cosponsored by the Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County, Group 73 of Amnesty International, Buffalo Street Books, Cornell Latin American Studies Program, and PEN America’s Artists at Risk Connection.
