Piano Explorers: Beginner Piano for Kids, Ages 6-9

Keys to Creativity: Beginner Piano, Ages 10-13

In this fun and hands-on beginner piano class, students ages 10 to 13 will learn essential skills such as note reading, rhythm, hand position, and playing with both hands.  No prior experience needed.

Graphic Notation:  A Visual Approach to Music Composition and Improv
Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm, 7/24-8/28 • Taught by Lydia Goedert

Graphic notation is a contemporary approach to music making that treats visual art as the score for musicians to follow. Each week, the class will consist of a lecture followed by group music making from a visual score. Students will gain an appreciation for multimedia art that may inspire their own creative processes. Both musicians and visual artists are encouraged to join! All levels of musicianship are welcome.

Drawing is all about learning new ways to see and express the world around you, finding your own voice, and building confidence.  We will experiment with varied media and approaches in drawing the human figure in this engaging class.

Making Your Mark:  Design Is Everywhere
Saturdays, 1:30-3:30pm, 8/2-8/30 • Taught by Ann Guiliani

This is an experimental fun workshop using a variety of media both conventional and non-conventional. Hone your skill in drawing, and painting. Use your imagination and ingenuity in solving design and compositional problems that bridge the gap between representation and abstraction.

Adult Acting Intensive & Theatre Games

The difference between a writer and someone who aspires to write is a matter of who puts pen to paper. The best way to learn how to write is to write! This class will be full of generative writing prompts to help you discover and own your unique literary voice. Ages: 16+.
