Strewn Forgotten Gathered ReImagined
Opening reception, Friday, June 7, 5-8 PM
On view June 7 – July 26
From Finger Lakes waterways, to urban public spaces, to rural homesteads, litter and other left-behind objects are ubiquitous in the landscape. Join us for this exhibition of works by local artists addressing discarded objects found outdoors – trash.
Through photography, painting, sculpture, maps, and mixed-media work, artists Alyssa Anderson, Leslie Brack, Caroline Byrne, Amy Callahan, Paul Closs, Shera D’Elia, Nancy Malina, Michelle Plunkett, Marsha Taichman, Robin Tropper-Herbel, Bernard Yenelouis, and Magdalena Zink consider and reinterpret discarded materials. Cartography by Michelle Henry.
Join us from 5-8 PM for the opening reception and Gallery Night! Meet the artists and learn how to get involved in local trash clean-ups. Presented by Cayuga Lake Watershed Network, Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA), and the Glorious Trash Birds.
Time
(Friday) 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
