Opera Ithaca is excited to announce the finalists for the Edward M. Murray International Competition of Voice 2019! Come hear these amazing artists on March 17, 1:00pm – 5:00pm, in Hamblin Hall at CSMA. Free and open to the public.

The third annual Edward M. Murray International Competition of Voice recognizes outstanding emerging singers in the operatic field and pays homage to the lifetime achievement of the late Maestro Edward M. Murray, who served twenty-five years as the director of the Cornell Symphony Orchestra and over twenty years as the music director of the former Ithaca Opera Association. The fifteen finalists have been invited to Ithaca to compete before an audience and a distinguished panel of judges from the operatic field.

The finalists are: Rachel Blaustein, Leah Brzyski, Miriam Chaudoir, Joseph Gansert, Kameron Ghanavati, Kathryn Grumley, Andrew Allan Hiers, Christopher Holmes, Courtney Jameson, Geeseop Kim, Felicia Moore, Laura Sanders, Robin Steitz, Zohaniris Torres Rosado, and Maria Zoi.
