Kumiko Woodworking Exhibit
March 2025 – Main Gallery
Ithaca Gallery Night debuts March 7th from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Our March show is an exhibition of traditional Japanese woodworking by Hammerstone School founder, Maria Klemperer-Johnson! Known as “kumiko ( 組子),” this meticulous technique is used to create intricate patterns with small, interlocking pieces of wood.
Join us for a hands-on demonstration of kumiko woodworking on opening night, March 7th, at 6:30pm.
