The Ithaca Children & Youth Chorus will be holding placement auditions for Fall 2019 at CSMA (330 E. State St, Ithaca) on June 24th and 25th from 4:00-6:00 pm. Children that participated this year do NOT need to re-audition, but if you have younger or older siblings, friends from school or other activities you participate in, we would LOVE to have them join us this fall. New faces are ALWAYS welcome! Children interested in joining the newly formed Dolce Choir (ages 5 and 6) also need not audition.

Auditions are brief (approximately 10 minutes) and consist of a little vocalizing, some pitch memory exercises, and some basic harmony exercises. We aim to make auditioning a very low-key and comfortable experience for all singers.

Minimum age for participation is 5, but our ensembles go right up through middle and high school. The rehearsal schedule is as follows:

*We hope to ADD a young men’s ensemble this year for boys with changed voices. We would especially like to encourage them to audition!!
