Jessica Peery brings creativity to every aspect of her life.  With a passion for personal growth and exploration through art, this mother of five brings playfulness and patience while teaching students of all ages and abilities.  As an undergraduate at Cornell University, Jessica developed an individual curriculum entitled, “Psychological & Spiritual Growth and Development,” and studied traditional painting, shadow puppetry, batik and mask carving in Bali, Indonesia before earning her BS through the College of Human Ecology.  At the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Jessica worked in the department of Video and Animation, having moved across the country after an internship at the largest animation studio in NYC, Curious Pictures (and was lucky enough to be working every day with the director at the time – Mo Willems!)  After establishing a freelance illustration and web design business with her husband, the Peery family moved to Ithaca where they have planted seeds and are flourishing ever since!
