Come see Igor Stravinsky’s ballet “Pulcinella” reimagined. The original score has been reworked for the Music’s Recreation Micro-Philharmonic by our own Bill Cowdery, and our friends at Lilypad Puppet Theater have crafted a puppet version of the ballet. It revolves around the many inhabitants of a local pond who come alive as Pulcinella the frog hops in and out of trouble. Also on the program is Stravinsky’s “Symphonies of Wind Instruments” arranged for flute, clarinet and piano and a set of three 4-hand piano duets. This is a wonderful way to introduce children to the vibrant character of Stravinsky’s music.
