Stephen Starkman enjoys national recognition as both a concert violinist, violist and conductor. A member of the famous
Pittsburgh Symphony for 16 years he has also served on several prestigious music faculties including as a distinguished
juror for the Juilliard School music competitions. Mr. Starkman recently served as Professor/conductor for Dutchess Comminuty College in New York. He also served as Principal Music Director of the Rhode Island Youth Symphony. A gifted and experienced teacher Mr. Starkman has taught extensively for over 20 years. His recording “Fiddler of the Opera”, marks his debut as a recording artist.
