Originally from Syracuse, NY, Lydia Kelly is currently pursuing an Acting major and Dance minor at Ithaca College and studying ballet at Cornell University. Lydia’s passion for dance began early as she played in her mother’s kitchen and attended dance classes starting at age four.
Since then, Lydia has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance. She has taught dance classes at Guzman’s Dance Studio and Dance Arts Studio in Syracuse, led Storytelling Workshops at Manlius Pebble Hill School and choreographed two musicals in Manlius Pebble Hill’s “Kinderstock” summer program.
In addition to performance, Lydia is passionate about education and is currently pursuing an additional Minor in Educational Studies. She intends to focus on how the arts and education work together to encourage student’s artistic expression. One day, she hopes to create her own elementary school performing arts program.
