This outdoor course emphasizes drawing as a means by which people learn to see, understand, imagine, and depict form and space. We will explore the various functions and expressive potential of line. Principles covered will include perception, proportion and measurement, perspective, relating complex objects to simple geometric forms, and more. Class time will include discussion and critique but the primary focus will be on using our time to draw.
THIS SECTION IS ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS CONTINUING THE SUMMER 2020 CLASS FOR ADDITIONAL WEEKS
This class will meet each week at Cass Park, a beautiful location overlooking the water and conveniently located to downtown Ithaca. Safe social distancing practices and mask use by all participants will be strictly adhered to.
